Sandy, the Sandhill Crane

Description

The Sandhill Crane is one of the oldest bird species alive. They are native to North America and the most abundant species in the world. There are six sub-species which vary primarily in size and height and whether they migrate or not. Thousands of those migrating can be found in Nebraska during the early spring along the Platte River.
